Elantra N Line Engine & Performance Review

A 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine powers the Elantra N. Enthusiasts will be delighted to learn that it will also be available with a six-speed manual transmission. Hyundai rates it at 280 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque, though those figures may get reduced slightly when it arrives in North America. Boost pressure rises in NGS mode, which stands for "N Grin Shift," momentarily increasing horsepower to 286. The acceleration time from zero to 100 km/h is 5.3 seconds, and the highest speed is 250 km/h.
